888 will they expand?
Posted on August 25, 2009 by Joanna Fisher
Already one of the largest out there for online gaming is 888. But they are planning on growing again, with some major expansion plans. Hoping for those plans to soon be finalized.
Even though the first part of 2009 showed a decrease in the traffic coming to 888 they are still hoping this expansion is the right choice. Feeling that the industry will be growing again soon, they want to get in while they can.
For quarter two they showed earnings of $61 million, which is a 7% growth over the last quarter. While the biggest portions of the increase was seen on the online bingo rooms and sports betting, they increased a nice 40%. Not bad in the time of a recession.
With that increase they can safely feel that major expansion will only help out, not hurt the company. They seemed to be very close to closing the deal recently. Already holding 22 contracts, to third party operators, 888 are hoping to bring in some more blood.
That will include television, media, and even some lotteries. The targets are all companies that are run out of Europe. Hoping to bring in more females to the sites is one of their main hopes. At present 888 is worth $110 million in cash, they hold no debts.
